This is in my office.

I didn't have my camera with me today so you get to see something in this room.

Hiking socks

These feel really great. If they don't work out for hiking, they will be great to wear around the house.

Chair

Where I like to relax at the end of the day (when the hammock is not in use).....or the middle of the day....or the time in between....or....you get the idea.

It's time to paint the bench a new color. The front door is that same color and it needs to be painted too. I haven't picked a color yet. I'm open to suggestions.

Griggs Reservior

Today's break happened spontaneously at Griggs Reservoir. I drive by it all of the time and have never thought to just stop and chill out for a bit. I like these long daylight hours that give me the chance to do this.

And more blue sky. It's so rare, I have to take a pic to believe it.

Greek and Gardens at Gantz

Today was one of those days I like what I do for work. The temp was 75 degrees and it was sunny. Lots of driving out of the city and I was in the mood to listen to 60's music on the radio. If only I had a convertible.

I also felt like trying to find a new place to eat and drove through a strip mall and came across
this.
A nice find!

Today I took a break at The Gardens at Gantz.
I think the nasty weather has taken a toll there, but it was still nice and relaxing.

More Jeni's ice cream.

Jeni's ice cream

Dark cocoa gelato, mango lassi, and creme de violet ice cream. Excellent. Nice looking bike in the background too. The choices.

This puzzle sat on a table with little progress over weeks. I moved it to the dining room table and finished it within a few days. Maybe I should work all of my puzzles under my dinner plate.

The Dancing Hares

Today I found myself by The Dancing Hares

Dancing Hares

The artist, Sophie Ryder put different objects into the sculpture. I found myself looking for them and was reminded of Highlights magazine from my childhool.

I don't know the significance of the rocks at the bottom of the hill, but I'm sure there is a reason for them.

The Last Supper

Our good friends Chuck and Alec are moving south to Valdosta Ga. and tonight was our last dinner here as a gang before they go.

I'm happy for Chuck and Alec. I'm sad for me that they are going. I will miss them.

Fresh air

The May 3rd post done on May 4th, with pictures taken on May 2nd.

It takes 90 minutes to get to Ryan and Jen's house, with 3 main options to choose from. One is 10 minutes on the Interstate with the rest on back roads, half interstate and half back roads, or 85 minutes of interstate. They all take the same amount of time. I find going there, that I usually get off the Interstate after 10 minutes because I am tired of dealing with the semi trucks. Don't get me started on that. Coming home, I usually do the half and half.

These were taken on the way home, showing one of the downsides of taking back roads certain times of the year.

A tractor slows things down.

Slow down

REALLY slows things down.

Really slow

Finally it turns.

It finally turns

But you know, once the corn is up, I will love driving the back roads to get there. All of that natural green everywhere. I won't mind the tractors slowing me down at all.

Blue

Sometimes I get fascinated with just the simple stockinette stitch. Two sticks and a piece of string.
