Lazy Day

Today was a day to slack. The only time I left the house was to run to the mall to pay my Macy's bill. While I was there, I picked up my $10 bday stuff from The Body Shop (a mini body scrub and a mini body butter), and used my bday $10 off at Victoria's Secret. A short, but productive trip :)

Getting a closer look.

My job has me driving all over town. There is a building on the other side of town that always catches my eye as I quickly drive by. I thought it looked really neat for a new building.

Today I stopped to get a picture of it. I feel let down. Now that I have stopped and looked at it, it just looks like a striped building.

Easter

My kind of egg.

Who wants some ham? (this wasn't taken today, but it is cute)

On the way to my parent's house.

My photographer for today wanted me to post a picture of my plate of food.

My parents, Gene and Jody.

Dogs like Dad.

I hope Katy is comfy. I bet she had some ham.

He lives in Detroit

Who knew?

It was an unusual piece of mail. I briefly scanned the first paragraph that was telling how someone had been digging and they dug deep enough to hear voices and screams that were coming from hell. This was proof. I think I'm glad it wasn't my name it was addressed to :P

A cold, blustery, busy work day, with much driving. I was far away from my tea making supplies and my favorite tea houses. I treated myself to this place. I used to be quite addicted to the stuff, but now it's just an occasional thing for me.

Yes, I need to wash my car.

An almost finished sock

I'm knitting some socks to hopefully use for hiking. The first sock is almost finished. I have yarn to make 4 pair, so I hope it works out.

I need to get better with the camera, or I will continue to be limited in what pics I can post at the end of the day.....like today!

Using my blog instead of my brain.

My memory is not what it used to be. I am older now, after all. Today I had lunch with Becca at a neat deli in town. On the way there, I knew I had read they now have parking, but I had no idea where. I somehow lucked out and got a spot on the street right in front of it. But this should help me next time.

Since I had the camera out, this is what I ate.

When I got home, it was Tea Time. Look at all the nifty new bday gifts I got to use for it today!

People here seem to know what I like. The tea pot is a Brown Betty The tea is Buckingham Palace Garden Party.

Happy Birthday!

This is the first day of my blog and it's my birthday! It was a very nice day, even if it snowed.

And to think, yesterday it was in the 80s....

After opening some nifty gifts, we went to eat dinner at The Rusty Bucket

So I could eat some Fish and Chips

I've been trying to eat healthier lately so I figured my birthday was a good time to go off the wagon, and I did, big time! Here's to me!!

And my enablers :)

We came home and ate cake. Shauna made me a jello cake, which I requested.

A good day!
