Today I found myself in Urbana on the way to Ryan and Jen's. I've stopped for lunch at this place a few times before. TeaBaggers Yep, that's what it's called!

The Movie Tavern

I checked out the newly revamped theater closeby. The Movie Tavern.

You buy your ticket, then enter and find yourself in a large bar. As you give your ticket to the ticket taker, they ask if you want a menu and then direct you to your theater. I said yes.

Next time, I will order something easier to eat in the dark. As soon as the lights turned off, I thought "uh-oh".

The theater I was in was not crowded, and there was nobody in front of me. The service was much less distracting than I expected. I don't know if it would be much different with a large crowd.

Oh, I saw Spiderman 3. I liked it :)

Memorial Day

The perks of living with a foodie. Smoked pork and baked beans made from scratch. And he likes to do this! I declared it the best I'd ever tasted.

I gave this to Lucy and Katy today after letting it sit in my closet a few years. Lucy will probably try to eat it :)

I finally started on The Baby Blanket

Just the ends will be green, the rest will be natural. I had trouble deciding on what yarn to use. The yarn arrived today. It's Knitpicks Bare, fingering weight, super wash wool. At 240 stitches per row, it's going to take a while to finish.

Last week, as I was driving around, I noticed what looked like a new sign with a new fence, and maybe some new steps headed down near the river. Today I took Shauna with me to find out what it is. In the middle of suburbia, near my house, this is what we found.

Comfort over style

That is so apparent in my choice of athletic shoes.



Many many years ago, I discovered Reebok DMX. Since then, I have been unable to find anything I like nearly as well as far as comfort goes. The thing is, I really don't like the way they look. This is my new pair. I hope the brightness of them doesn't hurt anyone's eyes!
